I first began at Purdue in Fall 2021 and graduated in Spring 2025. As a Professional Writing Major, I studied writing and rhetoric with professors in the technical communications, organizational communications, and professional writing fields. My coursework was riveting, challenging me to think critically about my writing skills and adopt new techniques. Not only that, but I pursued two minors in Organizational Leadership and Law and Society that exposed me to other writing fields. The classes I enjoyed the most during my time in university include English 419, Multimedia English; English 515, Advanced Professional Writing; and Communications 324, Organizational Communications.

At Purdue, I was also involved in several clubs and on-campus employment placements. The English Department is home to SEPA, the Student Editing and Publishing Association. I was a member for all four years, participating in club activities when possible. In the fall of 2022, I began working for Purdue Dining and Culinary at Ford Dining Court. For the next three years, I continuously performed my duties to the best of my abilities, consistently passing routine knowledge tests that resulted in job promotions. I also maintained a second position as an undergraduate research assistant, working with Dr. Bradley Dilger of Purdue’s Professional Writing Department. Working for his inter-institutional writing research team, Crow, the Corpus and Repository of Writing, I learned grant writing and research skills.

As an Indianapolis native, life is as fast-paced as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Outside of academics, I enjoy several hobbies. I’m an avid book collector who’s interested in collecting books with special features like paste-ins and pull-outs, as well as decorated edges. As a horror fan, I’m always on the look out for the newest horror movie, or reading Stephen King novels. When I’m not neck deep in a good book or movie, you can find me watching the Indiana Pacers play ball.
